Born and raised in Athens, Greece, graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Military Medical School. He did his Doctoral (PhD) Degree at Kapodistrian Athens University. Served as Medical Officer in the Greek Navy until 2005, when he resigned. Since 2017, he is head of ENT Department at Athens Medical Center.
He started his specialty training in Athens and completed it in UK. During his training in England, apart from Otology and Ear microsurgery, which was his main interest at that time, he followed closely the newly developing Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. After his return to Greece, he was one of the few surgeons who practiced, developed and contributed in the popularization of this technique.
In 2005, he participated in the organization of the first cadaver Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course in Greece, and since then, he has participated in more than 47 similar courses in Greece and abroad, with more than 250 invited lectures and surgical technique demonstrations. In 2008, he has founded Athens Rhinology Center, which is the first medical unit providing specialized services in Rhinology in Greece, now operating at Athens Medical Center.
He is faculty member in three Postgraduate MSc Programs in Greece, organised by Greek Universities. He has authored several papers and three chapters in Rhinology Books and has participated with presentations in numerous conferences. He has received honors for his contribution in the development of Rhinology in Poland and Romania.
He is currently President of the Hellenic Rhinologic Society – Facial Plastic Surgery
